A123 batteries gets another $40 million in funding

/
One of the hot battery companies in the electric vehicle space right now is A123 systems. They just announced another round of venture funding of $40 million, bringing their total so far to $102 million.
The main investor this time was General Electric Commercial Finance which had already put money into the company in previous rounds. Procter & Gamble also kicked in some cash this round presumably to try and get a piece of A123's technology for their Duracell brand. Most recently A123 was one of the companies awarded development deals from General Motors for the Saturn Vue PHEV program.
