F3e Concept Electric Car Powered by Iron-based Battery

Chinese car-maker BYD showed off an electric car at the recent Beijing auto show called the F3e. The F3e bears a striking resemblance to a late model Toyota Corolla. BYD is evidently a major manufacturer of car batteries and this new car features an iron based battery that they claim can be recharged to 70 percent of capacity in only 10 minutes. BYD is trying to get government approval for more electrical recharge stations around the country before they start production. Click on the photo to see more photos at AutoblogChina.
