Renewable Energy Group gets investment, advice from Bunge

The industry leader of B100 sales, Renewable Energy Group (REG), and Bunge, a "vertically integrated food and feed ingredient company", have entered into a "strategic relationship" to produce biodiesel better. Bunge will offer up raw materials as well as risk management and logistics expertise. REG Chairman and CEO Jeff Stroburg said in a press release that, "Producing high quality biodiesel is only the first step; getting biodiesel to our customers when and where they need it is a key factor in creating a successful distribution channel." The two companies will build REG's biodiesel production facilities near Bunge's oilseed processing plants. Those plants are located mostly in the Midwest, according to this map.
