The Segway is reviled by many folks as the "lazy alternative" to just walking or riding a bicycle. But for the handicapped or certain elderly segments of the populace (not everyone is a Paul Newman racing around the track), even standing on the Segway may be too painful. Thus, sibling blog engadget posts about the SegSeat, a $749 attachment which allows the Segway owner to ride the two-wheeler in the manner of a scooter.
Hmmm. $749 for a seat? How much does a regular scooter cost again?
