We're hearing this through the grapevine via a broken Google translation of autoblog.it covering a post by Automobilwoche Online that reveals
Aston Martin CEO has "partially confirmed" the
Rapide Concept that debuted at the
Detroit Auto Show
will arrive to market before the
Porsche Panamera. The Rapide should be ready for production as early as 2007, while autoblog.it implies the
Panamera isn't scheduled to debut until 2009. The reliability of this report is suspect as
Porsche has already the announced the Panamera will be built at the company's
Leipzig plant and may have a
preproduction model at the
Paris Motor Show in September. In our eyes it seems both of these super sports sedans could competing for your disposable income sometime in the second half of next year.
