The politics of automobiles in World War I and today

Sometimes it’s hard to frame the discussion of automobiles and their effect on our world, politics and the environment. So, for this entry I will keep my words to minimum and let the images of this poster and this bumper sticker speak for themselves. The poster is something I found on the Library of Congress website and is dated to 1915. It was published in London by the National War Savings Committee. I came across the bumper sticker while searching Flickr photos for images tagged as biodiesel yesterday.
