Lexus continues Toyota's new model barrage

/
Inside Line reports that Lexus is considering bringing at least two new crossovers to the American market.

The first, to be based on the new RAV4's underpinnings, would compete against Acura’s new RDX that goes on sale this summer. The RAV4's platform is Toyota’s new MC global midsize platform, which will also be used for the RX 330/400h’s upcoming replacement in 2008.

Toyota is also considering developing another Lexus crossover based on the Lexus HPX concept, which if green-lighted, would compete against Infiniti’s FX models.
