DaimlerChrysler in the legal hot seat again but prevails

/

DaimlerChrysler was recently in the courtroom's hot seat again. In October of 2003, a man from Des Moines, Iowa was run over by his family's Dodge Ram pickup truck when it lurched forward, due to the lack of a brake-shift interlock, according to his family's attorneys.

DaimlerChrysler's legal team argued that leaving the truck running meant that any safety features the truck possessed were pretty much moot, and jurors took less than three hours to rule in the automaker's favor.
