EyesOn Design awards announced for 2006 NAIAS

The annual EyesOn Design awards were presented today for the best concept and production vehicles introduced at the 2006 North American International Auto Show.

The EyesOn Design Awards are judged solely by designers, led this year by Tom Gale, Chief Judge for the awards and former head of design for Chrysler. Members of the design jury read like a who's who of all segments of the design community, this year including Chris Bangle (BMW), Trevor Creed (DaimlerChrysler), Chip Foose (Foose Design), Ken Okuyama (Pininfarina), and Fabrizio Giugiaro (Italdesign), among many others.

Three awards were given:
  • The Aesthetics and Innovation Award: Mazda Kabura (pictured)
  • The Concept Implementation Award: Chevrolet Camaro
  • The Functionality Award: Ferrari FXX
