Mazda Protégé recall

/
Mazda Motors has issued a recall to owners of its 2003 Protégé. The issue involves screws used to mount the intake manifold shutter valve that may loosen due to engine vibration or normal actions of the valve. Signs that the screws have become undone include rough idling noise, a malfunction indicator or engine misfire.
Mazda encourages all owners to bring their vehicles in for inspection. The inspection takes approximately four hours to complete and the company states it will replace the screws and gaskets or, if necessary, the entire intake manifold, all free of charge.
