Ford of Europe is offering its disarmingly cute little StreetKa with a special Winter package in Britain this year. Starting at £13,965 ($24,500US), the StreetKa Winter Edition is based on the standard StreetKa’s luxury specs that include heated leather seats, AC, ABS, dual front airbags, 16-inch wheels, engine immoblizer and snappy 1.6L engine. Special features just for this cold-weather car include a “quickclear” heated windshield, six-disc in-dash CD player, floor mats and a nice looking body color-keyed hardtop. Only 750 StreetKa Winter Editions will be produced and its extras are valued at £1,680 ($2,947US). Another purchasing perk – free insurance for those over 21 years old.
This is the second time Ford of Europe has offered a Winter Edition for the StreetKa, the first being in early 2004 after the car’s first year of production. The special edition model at that time cost more at £14,995 ($26,307US) and only 500 were produced.
