Renault launches updated Megane

Renault announced Monday an extensive upgrade to its Megane line, including six body styles: Hatch, Sport Hatch, Sport Saloon, Sport Tourer, Coupe-Cabriolet (pictured) and Megane Renault Sport.

The upgrade includes changes to exterior styling and interior design, plus a host of standard and optional safety and convenience features. Added to the extensive engine lineup (a quick count shows 5 diesels and 5 gas-fueled models) is the brand-new 150 hp 2-liter dCi diesel, married to a six-speed manual transmission. Top of the gasoline group is the Renault Sport Technologies 2.0T 16-valve, which provides 225 hp worth of motivation to the Megane RS. Full details and lots of pictures here.
