Here's a Jerry Flint column where we're going to focus not on Flint's ranting. Instead, this week he brings us some reporting from an industry dinner where Renault and Nissan head guru Carlos Ghosn spoke. Now, criticize Nissan's move from California to Tennessee all you want and we'll nod our heads in agreement, but just the fact that so much head-scratching has occurred over that single decision is an indication of how consistently great the man has been otherwise. Regardless, the article is chock-full of good quotes that I won't repeat here in their entirety, but if one quote summarizes everything, it's this - "There is no good management with bad results." I'd highly recommend clicking-through to see a few other choice Ghosn quotes. It'd be nice to see the same sense of responsibility and realistic optimism coming from Detroit.
