GM launches year-end incentive program

General Motors, desperate to boost anemic sales, announced Monday a "Red Tag" incentives program for 2005 and 2006 models, running through January 3.
The Red Tag fixed maximum prices cover most Buick, Chevrolet, GMC and Pontiac models, and reduce the list price from a few hundred dollars to $4,400 or more.

Cadillac, Saturn, Saab and HUMMER have their own parallel year-end incentive programs

According to GM, the Red Tag program combines the best features of the recent "GM Employee Discount for Everyone" program and 2004's Red Tag program. Vehicle prices are consistent across the country, and you can check the price and availability of Red Tag vehicles at www.gm.com/redtag. (Corvette, Solstice and Lucerne models are not part of the program.)
