GM taps Russian scientists

Former nuclear bomb developers need jobs too. When the Iron Curtain fell, I wonder if all the scientists who were working on nuclear bombs and biological weapons felt their job security go out the window. Without delving too deeply into the irony of it, it's worth noting that GM has a plan for finding new jobs for those scientists.

General Motors announced today that it will build a Russian technology center to help cut costs on the development of new cars and trucks. The company is hopping on a program that pays scientists to abandon weapons programs for peaceful projects — further globalizing GM's engineering corps.
