GM offers free gas

Following similar moves by Volkswagen and Mitsubishi, General Motors will begin offering $500 gas cards to move SUVs off the lot. This, along with lease pull-ahead programs and special financing, are three of the new incentives in GM's continued discount programs. The company, whose sales suffered in September and are now rock bottom in October, is doing what it can to lessen the whiplash resulting from the end of its employee pricing program.
