Ford's Equator concept going on the block for Katrina relief

Ford has already contributed over $6 million toward hurricane relief efforts in the Gulf Coast region, but someone over at the Blue Oval came up with a nifty idea to raise some more. Announced last week at the State Fair of Texas, Ford will auction off the Ford Equator concept truck to the highest bidder on Nov. 19th, with all proceeds going to American Red Cross chapters in San Antonio and Dallas, Texas. The Equator was officially unveiled at the 2000 Detroit show, pics of which you can check out here.
