The HHR is being painted as the Don Juan of automobiles as Bob Lutz goes around telling everybody that over 50 percent of HHR buyers are conquests from other manufacturers. Citing an exciting design and appeal in places where American brands don't do well (SoCal, Dallas, Houston, etc.) as reasons for the car's success, Lutz is happy to report that the HHR is the well-designed wave upon which GM is hinging its comeback. I guess they've taken some eggs out of their 2007 Tahoe basket now that gas prices are moving people into smaller SUVs and cars.
