Zetsche to lead Mercedes indefinitely

The man who turned Chrysler around is planning to use that magic on DaimlerChrysler's other struggling child, Mercedes. After rolling up in a Jeep Commander in a leather jacket and baseball cap at the Frankfurt show today, Dieter Zetsche made the announcement that he would lead Mercedes indefinitely, and that any changes would take time. In response to a question about layoffs by the automaker, Zetsche replied, "the whole production process has to be addressed."
