Mitsubishi's sales rise by more than 2 percent

The folks at Mitsubishi have cause for celebration — for the first time in two years, its sales have gone up instead of down. Up by 2.1 percent over August of last year, Mitsubishi's sales enjoyed the biggest increase since June of 2003, when sales were up 1.1 percent over the previous June. Not to put a damper on things, but the rest of the story is this: year-to-date sales are down 29.6 percent from last year.
