Pagani Zonda sold for $864,000 in Beijing

Most people don't realize the extent to which the luxury and ultra-luxury car market in China has grown over the years.  Did you know China is Bentley's 2nd largest market worldwide? And did you know Mercedes-Benz sold more S-Class cars this year in China than Europe or Japan? Ok, true, China does have like 1.3 billion people…but that's besides the point.

Anyway, the point was further illustrated a couple of days ago when a mysterious man walked into the Beijing Asia Games Village Auto Mall and bought China's one and only copy of the Pagani Zonda — with a whopping 7 million RMB ($864,000)...looks like the C in PRC should really stand for Capitalism nowadays.
