Ford is ready to turn sales around

Ford's sales have been in decline this year, but since starting this new promotion for the month of July, things are looking up. Sales for Ford's line is strong across the board, but Ford is seeing demand for their newer products like the Mercury Mariner, Ford Five Hundred, and Ford Freestyle (RIP) increase as well. We agree with the analysts that the promotion, while good for sales, will not help profits that much. The outlook for the company's newer products is looking up, however, which is a good indication that they may be on a path to increased sales despite the effects of their discount program. With Ford sales up 27 percent over this time last year, it will be a test to see what August and September look like. When the July sales numbers come out, we will have a better idea if these promotions simply increased the buyer pool for July at the expense of the following months.
