Ford ups SUV incentives

Big truck inventories are swelling and Ford is tossing more cash on the hood of the Explorer, Expedition, Ranger and the Focus sedan. Consumers can choose from rebates of up to $1,000 or interest-free financing of up to 60 months for the Explorer or Expedition. The Explorer now has $3,500 worth of rebates and the Expedition gets bumped up to $5,000. A new Expedition is due for the 2007 model year and this fall we will see a refreshed Explorer. Time to rethink that production capacity.
