The Hummer H1 we test drove in the Autoblog Garage was a lot of things but a personnel carrier it isn't. Chrysler says the U.S. military have ordered 19,000 minivans and 5,000 Pacificas for use as light-duty personnel carriers on U.S. bases around the world to reduce fuel consumption. Chrysler and CAW execs are ecstatic about the order, but workers are complaining about the extra work. Gee, triple time pay – don't want anymore of that.
