Today's ad spent way too much time in poetry class. The car in question is one of the most recognizable car nameplates in the world and did get a facelift for 1980, the year of this ad, but "Soft smoke on an autumn evening?" Like, gag me with a spoon.
The 1980 Corvette got a bit wilder in design, showing off those humongous fiberglass fenders with a new nose and tail. Come celebrate the new Corvette as the soft sand silently slides in between your toes when you ?walk along the seashore.? Please. It?s a Corvette. Sit down, shut up and hang on.
