Sport Trac production done until 2006

When the Explorer plant in Louisville shuts down for their usual two-week summer vacation, the Sport Trac will take the 2006 model year off. The plant will prepare for the revised 2006 Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer and does not want to add a third new model to further complex the assembly line. The 2007 Sport Trac, which will look much like the 2005 concepts, will begin production in early 2006. Ford believes they have enough supplies of the current Sport Trac so dealers won't see a shortage in the lag time. The Sport Trac Adrenalin concept is shown.
