Avalon making the grade

The new 2005 Avalon isn't getting overshadowed by the cheaper Camry and is creating waiting lists at some dealerships and sales have more than doubled from last year's model. The new Avalon is not going to set the world on fire with drop-dead good looks, but seems to be setting sales a flame with 280 horsepower, bigger size and more luxurious interior. The Avalon used focus groups extensively to help style the car inside and out. At least we know where the generic sheet metal came from.
