Did anyone notice no Saab "Tribeca"?

It totally skipped our radar screens. Saab was supposed to debut a concept based on the Subaru B9 Tribeca at the New York Auto Show, but never did. An article from AutoCar magazine reports that the truck plans look "close to collapse". Otherwise, the outlook for Saab is brighter than it has been. The new Epsilon 2 platform is set to fit both the 9-3 and 9-5 replacements in 2008. Saab is looking to move exclusively to four-wheel drive, as the Epsilon 2 platform will be able to accommodate a rear differential. The 9-5 should be getting a nose and tail tweak for 2006 to freshen the look for the last two years of its life.
