Chicago writers take on the new Toyota Avalon

Dan Jedlicka of the Chicago Sun-Times and Jim Mateja of the Chicago Tribune both wrote about the Toyota Avalon this week. Both say pretty much the same thing: This new Avalon kicks as much butt as a large Toyota sedan can kick. And that means it is simply a better sedan than its predecessor. Neither talks to much of perforamnce, although Jedlicka points out the 0-60 time of 6.5 seconds. Both adequately run-down all the features with Mateja pointing out the significance of the Avalon in the market a bit better. In the end Jedlicka sums it up well, "The Avalon glides along much like top old-school big American sedans, but outdoes them with Toyota's superb fit and finish."
