Motorsports Wrap-up: Cautions in Sin City, Subaru sittin' pretty

As an at home spectator, the NASCAR Nextel Cup race in Las Vegas was a bore. The race sported a record 10 cautions and Jimmie Johnson took a commanding lead towards the end and finished 1.6 seconds ahead of runner-up, nineteen year old Kyle Busch. Roush Racing did not dominate as expected, with 3rd (Kurt Busch), 6th (Greg Biffle) and 8th (Matt Kenseth) places. Mark Martin continues his buschwacking, winning the NASCAR Busch race on Saturday.

WRC saw the favorite take the win when Petter Solberg won Rally Mexico by a margin of 34.5 seconds in the new Subaru Impreza WRC2005. Solberg took six stages and now leads the driver standings by one point over Martin. Of course, Solberg and Subaru are quite happy with the new car.
