Jim Mateja, the gruff and experienced reporter that he is, delivers his take on the Chicago Auto Show a few days after the lights have turned off. He gives kudos to the Chrysler test track and slams Ford and Chrysler for putting "rebate" placards on their production models. It's interesting to hear the takes from public days that saw the Honda Ridgeline ignored and the young digging the Buick Lucerne's portholes. The inaccurate stuff about the Chrysler Firepower being a Corvette fighter I'll leave alone. Unless it was supposed to say Corvette Z06 fighter. Oh and seeing this Chicago show attendee trying to get out of a Smart is just priceless.
