And we really mean plunge. Volkswagen AG watched their full-year profits plummet 31 percent in 2004. Besides sporting really dull vehicles that no one wanted, VW cited the weak dollar as one reason for their troubles. But somehow the weak dollar didn't force every other European car company to see such awful results. VW's income dropped while sales actually rose 4.9 percent.
