Grand Rapids should consider lowering its driving age

After we brought you a story about a father telling his 10-year-old son to drive home by himself we thought it couldn't get much worse. But it has. A 4-year-old was caught driving himself to the video store at 1:30 a.m. Friday in Grand Rapids. Finding the store closed and the possibility of watching a fresh cartoon gone he turned the car around and drove home. That's when the police noticed the car driving at idle, the boy couldn't reach the pedals, with no headlights on. The officer on the scene thought the car had no driver and might've been left in gear at a gas station. But when it turned into the boy's apartment complex, smashed two cars, shifted into reverse and smashed the patrol car he knew something was wrong. Must be in the water.
