In a new ad to sell VW's all-new GTI the company has taken Gene Kelly's famous "Singin' In The Rain" and through modern technology will have the man breakdancing and rapping. All this is supposed to show a classic doing something new. Like the new GTI being a reincarnation of the original. The tag line is "The original, updated." Not quite sure but if the ad is decent maybe it'll get people interested in the brand/model again. You have to register to read the full story unfortunately and I couldn't view the ad itself with plug-in difficulties. The ad is made for the UK but with all the hassle of securing the rights to do this to Kelly our guess is this will be shown in the States when the GTI arrives later this year.
