Inside Line's inside look at SVT

Steven Cole Smith takes us through a brief history of SVT all the way up to its sad current state. One nugget in the piece is the next SVT model, the new Cobra, being unveiled at the New York Auto Show in March. But its interesting that Ford, who created the cool, power mongering image in house and now, when high-power is integral to gaining the tuner crowd Ford is stuck in idle. Although without a new Focus there's not much to work with for most of the market. The Fusion seems to be the most likely next candidate for a SVT treatment. But somehow SVT needs to come back.
