Ford gives in to electric Ranger protesters

We're not quite sure what the moral of this story is but the protesters that made such a stink about their electric Rangers that they leased (leased!) from Ford and refused to return at the end of the agreed terms won the right to buy the vehicles form Ford Motor Co. The two pickups symbolize an epic fight for clean running vehicles in California, or so the protesters say. To us it seems like Ford's solution to this "customer satisfaction issue" was tantamount to "get these people off the news already." Either way it seems everyone is happy.
