Detroit Auto Show: ASC Concepts

ASC showed a gaggle of five original cars, one of which, the Dearborne Deuce, can be bought. The cars include a four-door 300C convertible, special Solara convertible, a 550 horsepower GTO Stinger and a 500 horsepower SSR. Click the link for more info on each vehicle.

ASC Helios 4 door convertible ASC proclaims this to be the first modern, production intent four-door convertible since the Lincoln Continental. ASC has reinforced the heck out of this vehicle to give it better torsional characteristics than convertibles from Mercedes and Lexus. The top measures 5' 8" and does not cause any modifications to the base model?s desk lid because it folds so small.

ASC GTO Stinger ASC is looking to make this a Pontiac dealer-upfit package as early as fall 2005. Aside from the body panel changes, there is a Magnuson supercharger under the hood to boost power to 550 horse and a Borla exhaust. Inside new seats and carbon-fiber-look panels have been added.

ASC Solara Platinum Edition In honor of the 20th anniversary of ASC?s partnership with Toyota on convertible production a special edition Solara with a Pepper custom-color top and 18-inch rims.

ASC Diamondback ASC already works on SSR production car, so it makes sense that they take some time to upgrade. This SSR, which was shown at SEMA last year, has 500 horsepower out of a supercharged 6.0-liter.

ASC Dearborn Deuce Convertible The world?s first all-steel-body replica of a 1932 Ford ?deuce?. It is powered by Ford Racing?s fuel-injected 4.6-liter V-8 with additional supercharger. This one?s for sale and since its introduction last summer, ASC has sold more than 250 units.
