I've been a collector of some sort for most of my life. I think only until I moved to Chicago I was an avid collector of either comic books until about 17 and concert bootlegs that I still download on occasion. But this story on the old guys still going ape over Hot Wheels is a fun read and shows how passionate people are about cars, even at 1/64th scale. Most astonishing fact found in the story? Mattell has made more than 3 billion, yes billion, die-cast cars since 1968.
