1.2 million DaimlerChrysler minivans recalled

In one of the largest recalls I can remember, 1.2 million minivans worldwide, and over 950,000 in the U.S., have been recalled due to a faulty driver's side air bag. Actually it's an electric glitch that can cause the failure but the result is the same. Vehicles effected include the Dodge Caravan and Grand Caravan, Plymouth Voyager and Grand Voyager and Chrysler Town and Country from the 1998-2000 model years. Over 780 complaints and four injuries led to the eventual recall by Chrysler. The real disturbing thing is that Chrysler recalled 1996-1998 minivans for the same defect in 2002. I guess they've never heard the saying "don't make the same mistake twice."
