Nissan to launch seven new models in next two years

Continuing in its resurgence, Nissan announced it will debut seven new models aimed at the US between 2005-2007, as part of 28 new models worldwide. And at the same time the company will scale down its number of platforms from 24 to 15. What does all this mean?
