Ram and Sports Illustrated celebrate freedom by recreating Emanuel Leutze's "Washington Crossing the Delaware" in the only way they know how: With swimsuit models and a pickup truck. (The resulting video may not be strictly safe for work, though.)
The 2016 Ram Laramie Limited debuting at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show doesn't even try to hide its position as the top trim for the pickup, with massive emblems at the front and rear. Inside, it pampers passengers in Natura Plus leather.
The newly unveiled Ram 1500 EcoDiesel HFE model brings the fullsize pickup closer than ever to 30 miles per gallon fuel economy. Thanks to the right mix of aerodynamics-improving measures, the model boosts the mileage of the standard diesel version to 29 mpg highway, 21 mpg city and 24 mpg combined. Its 3.0-liter diesel V6 still makes 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque and routes through the brand's eight-speed automatic gearbox.
Ford and Nissan have been scrapping for market share in the very hot small commercial van segment, and now Ram wants in on the party. Monster trucks are made for a lot of things: crushing jalopies, jumping over jalopies, wowing spectators while crushing and jumping over jalopies, and so on. But instead it turned into a heart-warming tale of heroism and a community banding together to do what's right... and then some.
Super Bowl XLVIII is barely a week away, and some of the early ads are already leaking out. It's timely then that The Street has released rankings of the top five Super Bowl advertisers since 2009, showing Chrysler and Hyundai/Kia taking two of the spots with $131.7 million in cumulative spending.
My cat Prytania is an enigma. Some days she'll sleep all morning and afternoon, and not make a single peep. Other days, she'll get so irritated if I haven't let her outside first thing in the morning that she'll make a claws-out attack on my feet as I walk by her. Who can truly know the mind of an animal?
