In the effort to leave no marketing stone unturned, a member of the Earnhardt family has teamed up with a custom home builder to create an exclusive line of houses. Kerry Earnhardt, the eldest son of Dale Earnhardt, Sr., has aligned forces with Paul Schumacher of Schumacher homes. Needless to say, this Schumacher has no affiliation with the racing legend.

Each house is named after a particular memory from the lives of Earnhardt and his wife, Rene. One design, Pocono, honors the track at which Kerry Earnhardt won his first race, while one of the largest plans, Giant Sequoia, is crafted as a tip of the hat to the larger-than-life presence of Dale senior.

All told, there are 19 home designs to choose from. You can check them out by heading over to the Schumacher site for a closer look. In a quasi-related note, Road & Track reports that Dale Earnhardt, Jr. recently said that he'd like to see Michael Schumacher hop across the pond for a quick stint behind the wheel of a Sprint Cup racer.

And you keep insulting me... IT IS A BLOG. Read the damn name, RETARD. It is NOT a news website. Blogging IS NOT the same as news. Blogging is the action of talking about a certain subject and letting others make their own reviews on the subject, hence the comment section you see on this website.

Again, it has to do with a name associated with motorsports. There's plenty of other articles out there that had nothing to do with a car, manufacturer, or motorsports that nobody else complained on. How is this any different.

LMAO Oh the typical insults when proven wrong. Gotta love them... That was obviously a typo. Just from that comment alone, I know now how seriously you take stuff on the internet. This isn't a newS website, it is a blog. Hence the name of the website. AutoBLOG...

It report news, idiot. You don't know what the definition of what news is so I'll teach you. News means new information about specific and timely events, new information of any kind, or information reported in a newspaper or news magazine.

This type of branding would be more effective if the homes for sale were of the mobile variety. And paint a huge #3 on the side. And you would actually keep the special yellow lettered Goodyears with NASCAR inspired wheels ON the trailer after delivery. And you can put a roof hatch on it with guard railing on one side of the roof so you can watch the race as if you were atop a modified retired school bus in the infield. Or you could just make the trailer look just like a car hauler. Now THATS NASCAR branding!

We all know that the REAL Earnhardt Collection is neon beer signs from bars and bar stools that say bud lite. Maybe a signed ZZ Top poster for the mantle and beer can tree for the holidays.

I would expect the Earnhardt name on it, if it was for a double wide.

I can't say I knew Sr. personally (how awesome would that be!) but in all the interviews with him that I saw, and the relative lack of playing up to sponsors and just being all about kicking ass on the track I have a had time thinking Sr. would be very pleased with this. I could be wrong, but Sr. was a guy who was not very much talk and a whole lot of walk. Sr. had a talent that was unmatched before or since (Petty comes damn close, but I think Sr was a little better) and it bothers me how frequently people are trying to cash in on his memory (however vague the connection). One other thing - Jr, while not the worst NASCAR driver to hit the scene, isn't all that special and if I had to guess would get destroyed by Schumacher in any race format. I'm sorry, world champion vs a reasonably good NASCAR driver? Yeah....
