The Rocket II visits Jay Leno's Garage – Click above to watch video after the jump

It looks like Tim Cotterill finally got around to crossing paths with Jay Leno. It was only a matter of time before the sculptor-turned-gearhead brought his drop-dead gorgeous Rocket II Trike by Leno's Garage for a quick looksee. While we've seen the 1,000 horsepower Blastolene creation on the interwebs before, Jay has been kind enough to allow us to vicariously pour over every little detail. It turns out that the supercharged Hemi V8 is actually a dual-plug unit that still runs off of pump gas – lots and lots of pump gas. Cotterill is waging a one man war against every Toyota Prius on the road – trike manages around 3 mpg.

Even so, the guy says it's worth every penny, and we believe him. Surprisingly enough, Jay opts not to ride the thing, allowing Cotterill to wow us all with more hyper-drive style passes and tire-melting burnouts. Impressive, sure, but not nearly so amazing as the steering setup on the Rocket II. Take the time and geek out with the rest of us by watching the video after the jump. It's time well spent.

      Dear Tim Cotterill,

      *yawn*

      Love, Dodge Tomahawk

This bike can turn. The Tomahawk can't.

Uhhh........ my Gixxer 1k is probably faster than this and I don't loook like a reject from a Disney movie while riding it.

      FAIL.

No one builds something like this for practicality. It's a toy, plain and simple. You can't tell me if he offered to let you take it for a spin, you'd refuse. I know I wouldn't.

Oh look, it's the moron trolls even despise.

You don't own a GSXR1000. You're not even old enough to legally own anything with a title. The reason I believe this is because you're WAY too immature to even be considered a troll.

You crack on the Mustang's live axle just like every other moron who cracks on the Corvette for it's monoleaf suspension.

You always have something negative to say about any type of article on this website.

Like I said, you're so bad, even trolls look down on you.

There is nothing fail about this. Shut it...

Riiight, because the ONLY reason for anything is to go fast.

This is rolling sculpture. It might not be your style, but don't try comparing it to some mass-produced bike that looks like every other mass-produced bike out there.

Wow, check out the crack in that weld at 3:44 from the end. Hope that's just cosmetic.

It is what it is, a motorcycle designed by a sculptor. Had fun building, having fun showing it off. Nice to see something different and it is bad ass.

Love the enthusiasm the guy has.

It's so over the top, and yet looks to have some really well thought-out engineering behind it. I really like it. It's crazy, but cool.

The guy was really hamming it up for the camera, but maybe cuz he was English it was more funny than annoying.
