In late 2008, Fisker Automotive opened an office in Pontiac, MI. At the time, COO Bernhard Koehler said in a statement that:
Well, it's just over a year later now and that office is being shut down, the 30 full-time employees who work there are being relocated to Fisker Automotive's southern California HQ. In a new statement, CEO Henrik Fisker said:The available talent, supplier base and infrastructure in Michigan will help us reach our production goal. While Fisker Automotive will continue to be headquartered in Irvine, California, the new facility will allow us the opportunity to collaborate with our Michigan supplier base and have everyone under one roof.
So, the lesson here is that no matter where Fisker employees are, it's better for the company. The move will be completed by the first of March. Thank to Roy B. for the tip!Having our entire team in California ensures greater efficiency and speeds up development of our new plug-in hybrids.
