Lingenfelter Performance Engineering of Decatur, IN have long been known as creators of the ultimate modern GM street machines. We fully expected their engineers to be lying in wait for the 2010 Camaro, and they haven't let us down. Lingenfelter has released details for its engine packages, starting with a supercharged version putting out 550 horsepower and topping out with an intercooled, twin-turbo 7.0L LS7 packing 800 horsepower. They have also teased a Camaro body kit with drawings that show off a new front fascia and splitter, grille bar insert, hood with air extractors, rear spoiler, taillight panel, and rear fascia extension that can house quad exhaust tips. Pricing isn't available quite yet, but full details on the Lingenfelter engine packages and body kit can be found after the jump.

"body kit for 2010 Camaro body kit"

      yo dawg, I herd...

lol, I wanted to type that, someone needs to do a photoshop of that now.

      ...Hennessey who? :D

I like the body kit with the exception of the front chins. Maybe clean that up a bit, make the wing out back a little smaller/more discreet, and it will be a real looker IMO.

      Dear Lingerfelter,

Blank cheque is in the mail.

      Thanks,

The body kit looks silly. I'm not feeling it. Can i get one with just the internal bits?
These kits can be ordered in pieces, so any of you who have a grudge against any particular part could simply leave it out. I agree that the chin spoiler is a little too much, and I'd leave the rear spoiler off as well. Side skirts, hood, and exhaust looks especially good.

Power is, as expected, fantastic. Cost for the blower kit will probably be a little more than what my GTO kit cost simply because the TVS system isn't cheap. Turbo setup will be less than the turbo kits for the Corvette because, as i understand it, the setup is easier and less cramped.

I'm sure a great many handling upgrades will be offered, so don't think this is just a straight line deal (although the 800 horse package may be a little much for the track).

Finally Autoblog posts this after this has been on Lingenfelter's website for a while. I'd take one of these over a Henessee POS any day!

Without the price, it's impossible to pass judgement.
I look at these cars by bang for your buck.
The fully loaded model would appear to be in zr1 territory for pricing, which suggests IMO you just buy the zr1.
And the fact of the matter is, most if not all tuner cars have issues putting the power to the ground on standard tires, so numbers always look great on paper, but that's about as far as it goes.

I bet even the stock zo6 would whoop on this car.
The Z06 will have a better 0-60mph time, but when the cars are already doing 50mph... 800hp is a crazy output no matter what, it'll kill a Z06 from 50-150mph.
The back looks a bit strange, overall is a great looking car.

Wow, two massive typos in one day? ("American's have stopped ..." "body kit for 2010 Camaro body kit.")

Are you people asleep at the wheel today?

        Try again, John.

Not bad except for the rear spoiler...way too big in the rear shot. Good thing it's an artist conception because I wonder how much wheels and tires that wide would cost...I can't even imagine them fitting in the wheel wells of a real Camaro. I love wide tires, but not that wide...looks like it should be in NHRA.
