Click above for a high-res gallery of the Arden Jaguar XF AJ 21.Last month, we got a
sneak peak at Arden's interpretation of the Jaguar XF, with its aggressive front fascia, LED running lights and rear brake cooling ducts integrated into the side skirts. Now, we've got the official details on the AJ 21 and as is almost always the case, the mods are hardly skin-deep.
The top of the line, supercharged V8 engine has been stroked out from 4.2- to 4.5-liters, with output cresting the 500 hp mark. To make better use of those additional ponies, Arden developed a sports suspension to keeps things planted at speed, while 21-inch "Sportline" wheels are up to the task of combining a bit of style with a dose of functionality. Arden is developing packages for the entire range of XFs, but if we had to choose one, this is it.

Jaguar changed the grille for a reason.
this is gross.
Richard @ May 13th 2008 7:20PM
For all of the kudos I read because Jaguar had come up with a new grille, it is amazing how the first "custom" of the XF has a front end that heads pretty much towards Jaguar tradition. And why not given the feline femininity of to original it is a shame to let it go...

Some cars look best when they're not tarted up and this is one of them. Phooey!

It has the Leaper, so it's automatically better, with or without the performance upgrades.
I like it more than the stock XF front fascia, but that isn't saying much, as I hate the stock fascia.

So is this designed to compete with the new 4 door Porsche and the Maserati Quatroportte?
I think it looks great, of course I think anything with 500hp looks great.

THAT GRILLE IS UGLIER THAN CLARKSON'S TEETH, UGGHH
mr.ed @ May 14th 2008 4:00AM
The grille is ripped off the traditional Lancia shape. Combine that with the Hyundai headlights, and it's really distinctive. Not!
Cole Mitguard @ May 14th 2008 7:03AM
I still cant decide if I love it... but I do like that front end. It screams over the top, but I think that anything with 500hp has that right, as much as I prefer the sleeper look. I don't think that the rims are perfect on this car, but that might just be the photoshop job.
mudcargt @ May 14th 2008 11:57PM
Needs to lose the leaper, it looks wrong on a hi-perf car.
