As if 1000 horsepower, 0-60 mph in 2.25 seconds and the huge rear wing didn't attract enough attention. It just had to be in Snake Skin Green. According to Hennessey, this is the first and only Venom Twin-Turbo in this color, and it's listed for sale on HennesseyPerformance.com. It comes with the 1200-horsepower upgrade option, VenomAero body kit, KW adjustable coilover suspension, Brembo brakes, lightweight wheels, and more. The car's new owner will also be able to make Bugatti Veyron owners green with envy as they see this Viper's taillights fading into the distance. Click away in the full-res gallery below.
BONUS: Video of said Venom Viper spinning out while racing a Porsche 911 added after the jump.

That is an impressive body kit, hopefully Mr. Hennessey follows through for his customers.

The front tires are wider than my rears.

His front tires are wider than my waist!

While I do like Vipers I'm not to big on Hennesey's stuff for them. From what I hear he's a scam artist. If I had the money to buy this or the Veyron I'd get the Veyron without even thinking twice.
TwinTurbo3000GT @ May 10th 2008 7:28PM
but for the price of a veyron, you could have a few of these, a daily driver, a 4x4, an Exige for the twisties, and a house ;)
Joe K. @ May 10th 2008 7:25PM
And If I had the money to buy a mansion or a duplex I would take the mansion too. Even if the duplex had 1200 hp...

You can live in your car, but you can't race your house!
TriShield @ May 10th 2008 6:42PM
Scammer or not he does some incredible work to Mopars. Amazing spec sheet, amazing color, amazing looking car.

Hennessey has long since rebuilt his company and his reputation. He screwed up in the past, he has made amends with those he wronged, get over it or go somewhere else. The only ones that continue to bash him are those that couldn't afford to buy the man's shoelaces.
He gets reported on because he makes the best, the fastest, and the most reliable cars. With numbers to back them up. Holds numerous records and does actual testing. Hell his headquarters are now on a racetrack. Everyone else says their cars are better but none stand up to the hype.

Worthless Chrysler, and its v10 sounds like shyte.
TwinTurbo3000GT @ May 10th 2008 7:15PM
you call it worthless, yet it can and will destroy any car an the road, and yet remains (relatively) affordable.
The only thing useless here is your post. To quote Ron White, "Next time you have a though...let it go."

Shouldn't you have your bottle and be going off to bed soon?

Is Autoblog on Hennessey's payroll? Why do we hear about every sneeze this guy makes?

Seems a little skewed, eh?
RussianVolga @ May 10th 2008 8:00PM
Because it's Automotive news.
Preston @ May 10th 2008 8:58PM
Automotive news my ass. Hennessey gets more coverage than any tuner and many manufacturers. It surprises me that a publication that caters to the consumer like this one does has no problem bolstering an undisputed scammers reputation time and time again.
There is no question about it, Hennessey HAS scammed people. Disgusting.
And dont tell me to ignore it if i dont like it. Autoblog has been my homepage for a while now.
Daniel @ May 10th 2008 9:36PM
Then I'll ask why it's your homepage if you don't like it ;)

Every time I see his name on here and it's not a headline about him getting busted, I lose a little more respect for the 3 guys that submit the blog posts.
Seoultrain @ May 11th 2008 2:55AM
It's also nice to see how tight-lipped these guys are about this. I guess it makes sense: take customers' cash, keep some, use some for advertising, and the rest for hush money. All the magazines are in love with Hennessey, too.
How about an explanation, AB?
CarbonBlack @ May 11th 2008 9:44AM
Just for a reference, here are all of AB's articles.

So is it okay to talk about Dinan in your book, or does the Z8 thing mean Dinan is unmentionable too?
As far as I am concerned, with Hennessey or any of these, it's buyer beware. But that doesn't mean autoblog can't deliver news on them without slamming them at every turn.
