Driver's SEAT: 4th-gen Ibiza set to bow in Geneva
Among Volkswagen subsidiaries, Skoda won't be hogging all the attention at the Geneva auto show. While the Czech division will be showing its second-generation Superb flagship, Seat is tipped to be unveiling the replacement for its entry-level Ibiza hatchback at the Swiss show in March.
While other automakers oftentimes opt to show the sportier three-door version of their compact hatchbacks to garner more attention, the model Seat will show in Switzerland is expected to be the five-door hatch, while the three-door is anticipated to debut later in the year. Styling is expected to follow the lead of its Seat stable-mates, as seen in the renderings above and at right, courtesy of our compadres over at Autoblog Spanish.
The Seat Ibiza is the Spanish division's bread-and-butter model and accounts for a whopping 40% of its sales worldwide, and with the current model Seat hopes to solidify its place in the Volkswagen hierarchy.

VW would do well to have SEAT designers influence some of their models.

You know when you take a girl home from a bar and then you see her in a room with normal light ambiance and then you're like...uh....eww...
yeah, that's this right here.

Looks pretty good. They need to help Subaru. That name would get slaughtered here in the US though. People would call it "SEET" instead of "SAY-AHT".

nice...but VW should do more with Seat. Like positioning the brand upmarket, for example. It could make for a good Mini/Smart competitor, saving Audi from ruining it's image with the forthcoming A1. Seat is struggling saleswise, because it offers little more than what you can get from Skoda or VW in Europe.

My cousin has one in yellow like the picture above. Haven't driven it (it's his first car so he treats it like his baby). Def a good looking car. Better then the VW Rabbit. They sell them in Mexico I believe. Ah so close but so so far away!

like andybee claimed...the pictures are wrong. Seat has already claimed that they go a new design way. More individual car look not that Seat family look for all cars anymore
