We just got a tip from a knowledgeable source that Pratt & Miller have all but acknowledged that Jay Leno's wild Corvette C6RS will go into limited production. We hear that 25 will be built at a cost of $185,000 plus a donor car. Although the Katech motor in the C6RS is a bit larger than the one in the Pratt & Miller Street Attack model, the E85 hook keeps power the same at 600 HP. Not a lot of other details are available yet, but we wanted to make sure we shared. We'll keep you posted when more info gets released.
Thanks for the tip Mike!

"cost of $185,000 plus a donor car."
So......over $250k for a converted corvette. Isn't that more than a Ferrari F430? It just seems like a lot for a "kit car".

Its not a kit car by a mile, but its not 185K better than tne Z06

I think you all are missing the point. People who buy this will be Al Gore friendly celebrities. They still want to drive something nice while looking like they care for the environment. Toyota thought of this with the LS600h but the fundamental problem is that no one wants one in the first place. So this could be catering to that crowd. But that's alot of dough but I guess it is a custom block with all the raced out trimmings which would cost me $40k+ to build.

Nothing says "I care for the environment" like a sports car.

The more I read about people on car forums hating every single type of car that isn't a Prius the more I want to put on my Corvette (when I buy it next year) a big sticker that says "Screw the Environment"
These people have to know that their RABID attack on everyone about the environment is counter productive to their cause, no normal person likes to side with nut balls.

According to the last nights autoweek, the car is official. This also does not give a good description of what this car actually is. You are basically getting a street legeal C6R with a full warranty. Natural aspiration, Carbon Fiber body work, a working LSD and DSC (DSC not working yet) and the e85 is actually unique to Leno's ride. Normal ones will not run on e85 from what the article alluded to. What confuses me is that the Blue Deveil/ZR1/SS will make this car somewhat pointless. As the performance numbers will be similar at a lower price. Granted the Blue Devil has a charger on it.

Hmmmm. Why not just buy a Z06 for $85K??? $185K plus the donor car??? I love Vettes, but that's just stupid...
