Ford unveils Fiesta Zetec S 'Celebration' in UK

Ford keeps throwing fiestas in honor of the Fiesta. It started back in March with the release of the yellow, checkered-flag-roofed Fiesta Zetec S Anniversary edition. That 400-car limited run apparently went over well, so Ford's doing it again with the Fiesta Zetec S Celebration edition. Again, it's limited to 400 cars, and yes, it receives the flag roof, leather seats, black mirrors and accents, sport appearance, 16" wheels, and 100 PS (98.6 HP) 1.6L four good for 43.5 mpg (Imperial) in the combined cycle (that's 36 mpg US, if you were wondering). The only difference this time around is that the new car's painted Celebration Green. Sorry, folks: as before, only UK customers get invited to the party. So, is it redundant to have a car called the Fiesta Celebration, or is it just us?

BRENTWOOD, Essex, 23 October, 2007 – The success of the exciting Ford Fiesta line-up continues with the debut of another feature-packed special edition to appeal to Britain's small car buyers.

Launched following the success of the hugely popular radian yellow Anniversary model in March 2007, the Fiesta Zetec S Celebration is a sensational supermini that's packed with sporting ambition. Appealingly priced at £12,595, on sale from next month and limited to a production run of just 400 units, this striking limited edition promises exclusivity combined with low running costs.

Powered by Ford's proven 100PS 1.6-litre 16-valve engine, the Celebration sprints from
0-62mph in less than 10 seconds, while combined economy is a frugal 43.5mpg but the big news is a unique package of additional equipment.

On top of the regular Zetec S kit list, the Celebration boasts a black and white chequered roof decal, unique identity number, chequered scuff plates and mats, full 'Ebony Haze' leather interior, privacy glass and Panther Black door mirrors, bodyside mouldings, roof spoiler and tailgate handle.

Combined with 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, trip computer, electric windows, CD player with portable music connection socket, sports front seats and lowered sports suspension, this is a car that allows Fiesta fans to celebrate three decades of sales success in real style.
